As per reports, the Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport has launched the Points Person of the Future Programme on Thursday (20 November).

• The initiative aims to strengthen traffic management capabilities and improve road safety across the province. Under the programme, newly trained traffic points personnel are expected to be deployed at key intersections and high-risk routes.
• These personnel are expected to be equipped with body cameras, digital reporting tools, and enhanced communication systems designed to improve response times and support safer commuter movement.
