As per reports, a gas explosion occurred during maintenance work at Egypt’s Police Academy in Cairo, resulting in the death of three police officers on Sunday (29 December).

• The explosion also left two additional officers injured. The incident was reported by Egypt’s Interior Ministry, which confirmed that no foul play is suspected.
