According to reports, veteran politician, former Railway Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Mukul Roy died of cardiac arrest at Apollo Hospital in Salt Lake, Kolkata, on Monday (23 February).

His death occurred at 0130 hours (local time), as per his son Subhranshu Roy. He had been in a coma for the last several days as well.
