Former Minister Baba Siddique shot dead in Mumbai on Saturday (12 October) evening

As per reports, Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister and member of the Nationalist Congress Party’s (NCP) Ajit Pawar faction, has died after being shot in Bandra in Mumbai, Maharashtra, on Saturday (12 October) night. He was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in critical condition after being shot.

• Three bullets were shot at Baba Siddique, at around 2130 hours local time, outside his son Zeeshan Ziauddin Siddique’s office, located in Bandra East.
• According to reports, three people were involved in the shooting incident. Two suspects have been arrested; one is from Uttar Pradesh and other from Haryana. Third assailant is yet to be arrested.
