As per reports, the Maharashtra State Food Officers Welfare Association has warned that food officers across Maharashtra may launch a work bandh (shutdown) from Monday (23 March) if suspended officers are not reinstated by the state government.
• The association has stated that the protest could involve food officers halting routine work in their offices across the state. The association has also indicated that officers may submit memorandums to district collectors across the state to communicate their concerns.
• The Gazetted Officers Federation has also urged the government to address the issue. The federation has reportedly requested that the Chief Minister and concerned ministers intervene and resolve the matter before the proposed protest date to prevent disruption to departmental functioning.
