As per reports, meteorologists forecast widespread morning fog, low clouds in inland regions, and unusually warm, sunny conditions in Croatia on Wednesday (10 December). Temperature contrasts between inland and coastal regions are expected to widen.
• Inland Croatia, covering major areas such as Zagreb, Osijek, Vinkovci, Vukovar, Slavonski Brod, Đakovo, Požega, and Baranja, will experience dense morning fog and extensive low cloud cover, especially across lowland terrain.
• Winds will be minimal, creating conditions favourable for the persistence of fog throughout the morning. Afternoon temperatures will generally range between seven degree Celsius and 12 degree Celsius.
• The eastern regions, particularly parts of Slavonia, Baranja, and Srijem, may experience fog that persists well into the day.
• Across the Northern Adriatic including Rijeka, Opatija, Pula, Rovinj, and the Kvarner and Istria coastline and the mountain regions such as Gorski Kotar and Lika, weather conditions will be mostly sunny with occasional cloudiness.
• The highlands can expect moderate southwesterly winds, while northwesterly winds will prevail along the coast and at sea.
• Dalmatian regions such as Zadar, Šibenik, Split, Makarska, and Dubrovnik will see unseasonably warm and sunny conditions for this time of year. Light to moderate northwesterly winds are expected along the coast.
• Inland regions including Central Croatia and Slavonia are expected to transition into a period of grey, cold, and foggy weather that will persist until Sunday (14 December).
