As per reports, prolonged heavy rainfall caused localised flooding across parts of Phu Quoc Special Zone, An Giang Province, Vietnam, on Friday (24 July).

• Localized flooding was reported in Duong Dong, Duong To, and An Thoi, affecting several roads and disrupting traffic.
• Flooded roads included Tran Hung Dao Street, Nguyen Trung Truc Street near the former airport, rural roads in the Duong Bao neighbourhood, and roads in the Suoi Lon resettlement area and the 73-hectare development area.
• Several vehicles stalled after attempting to pass through flooded roads, while motorists were forced to slow down due to inundated road conditions.
• Local authorities deployed emergency and public works personnel to inspect affected areas, clear drainage channels, and facilitate water drainage.
• According to the An Giang Hydrometeorological Station, heavy rainfall of approximately 40–50 millimetres was recorded in parts of Phu Quoc, while thunderstorms accompanied by wind gusts of up to Beaufort Force six-seven remained possible.
• Authorities reported that rainfall had eased by the evening, and floodwaters were gradually receding.
