According to reports, as many as seven RTs (neighbourhoods) in Jakarta are still flooded due to heavy rainfall.
Based on the report of the Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) until Tuesday (18 March) at 1900 WIB, flooding was reported across West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta. Affected areas include;
• West Jakarta (two RTs) in Rawa Buaya Village which was flooded with a water level reaching 60 centimeters (cm). The cause is high rainfall and the overflow of the Angke River.
• South Jakarta (one RT) in Cipulir Village is still flooded with a height of 70 cm. East Jakarta (four RTs) in Kampung Melayu Village is still flooded with a height of 40-70 cm.
• The Jakarta BPBD has deployed personnel to monitor the flood conditions in each affected area and to monitor conditions in the field while preparing basic needs for affected residents. BPBD targets the flood to recede quickly.
