As per reports, the National Weather Service (NWS) issued and continued multiple flood warnings across the US from Thursday (14 May) through Tuesday (19 May), with minor flooding, snowmelt flooding and ice-jam flooding affecting Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, New Hampshire, Indiana, Alaska, Mississippi and Washington.
Flooding impacts include flooded low-lying roads, boardwalks, riverbank areas, properties, camping areas, parking lots, and access routes.
• Flood warnings for the Kaskaskia River at Carlyle, Illinois and the Pearl River near Pearl River affecting Louisiana and Mississippi remain valid until Tuesday (19 May) evening and early Tuesday (19 May) morning respectively.
• The Vermilion River at Lafayette, Louisiana flood warning remains in effect until early Monday (18 May) morning.
• Flood warnings for the Saco River at Conway affecting Maine and New Hampshire remain valid until late Friday (15 May) evening, while the White River at Hazleton, Indiana warning remains valid until early Saturday (16 May) morning.
• The Pemigewasset River at Plymouth, New Hampshire flood warning remains valid from Friday (15 May) afternoon until late Friday (15 May) afternoon.
• In Alaska, flood warnings for Galena remain valid until 2200 hours local time (0600 hours UTC, 16 May) on Friday (15 May).
• Flood warnings for Napaskiak, Oscarville, Napakiak, Bethel and Kwethluk remain valid until 2100 hours local time (0500 hours UTC, 16 May) on Friday (15 May) .
• he Yukon River near Stevens Village flood warning remains valid until 1930 hours local time (0330 hours UTC, 16 May) on Friday (15 May).
• In Washington state, the Stehekin River at Stehekin flood warning remains valid until further notice, with river levels expected to fluctuate due to ongoing snowmelt conditions.
