As per reports, heavy rainfall is affecting parts of Illinois, leading to a flood warning in effect until 1800 hours (local time) on Friday (31 January) and a flood watch in place until 1500 hours (local time) on Friday (31 January) for most of the area.

• Rainfall is expected to decrease later on the afternoon of Friday (31 January), with rainfall shifting south and east. Most areas will begin drying out by sunset. Throughout the day, temperatures will remain between the 30s and near 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
• On Saturday (01 February), mostly cloudy conditions are expected with highs in the upper 30s, while on Sunday (02 February), temperatures are expected to be notably warmer, with temperatures potentially reaching 50 degrees Fahrenheit, nearing the 52-degree Fahrenheit record high for the date.
