As per reports, the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency has forecast a high risk of riverine flooding in Kaduna and 31 other states in Nigeria from Wednesday (19 August) through Tuesday (25 August).
• Reports indicate that rising river stages may cause flooding in locations along floodplains during the seven-day advisory period.
• The flood is expected to affect the states including Taraba, Ondo, Oyo, Rivers, Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Enugu, Gombe, Imo, Jigawa, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos, Nasarawa, Ogun, Osun and Plateau, in addition to Kaduna and Niger.
