As per reports, a fire broke out within a residential building on York Place in Edinburgh around 1830 hours (local time) on Friday (29 March), which diverted bus routes and affected trams running in the area.
• According to Lothian Buses, passengers onboard both the service 11 and 16 were alerted of diversions as buses were unable to serve York Place citybound due to road closure and were instead diverted through Leith Street until further notice.
• Edinburgh Trams resumed full service after short running between Edinburgh Airport and West End, amid presence of Emergency Services at York Place.
• Police, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Scottish Ambulance Service were deployed at the scene of the fire, which has now been extinguished without any casualties.
