As per reports, a fire broke out on the 42nd floor of the Salsette building in Byculla, Mumbai on Friday (28 February), the incident was reported at around 1045 hours.

The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) declared a Level-1 (minor) fire emergency and deployed fire tender to the spot of the incident, firefighters are currently trying to contain the fire. The reason behind the fire is not cleared yet. No one has been reported injured in the incident so far.

• Due to the fire, the Lalbung Bridge has been closed to traffic, resulting in slow traffic movement at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Road on both sides.
