Fire incident reported in South Yarra on Friday (19 September)

As per reports, a fire broke out at the Jam Factory complex on Chapel Street in South Yarra, Melbourne, around 0130 hours (local time) on Friday (19 September).

• Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) confirmed that the blaze engulfed about one-third of a three-storey brick building located on the Garden Street side of the site.
• Firefighters brought the blaze under control within an hour, although crews will remain on site throughout the morning to extinguish remaining hot spots.
• Police confirmed that no one was present at the site when the fire began. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
