As per reports, a fire broke out in a residential area along Commonwealth Avenue in Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City, at approximately 2049 hours (local time) on Sunday (28 December).

Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) confirmed that the fire affected houses along San Roque Street, with fire authorities later reporting that the blaze occurred in the Riverside Extension area on San Pascual Street.

• Preliminary reports indicate that firefighting operations remain ongoing. No injuries or fatalities have been reported. Authorities stated that the cause of the fire, along with the number of affected families and individuals and the extent of damage, remains under assessment.
