As per reports, a major fire broke out in a building located at 26 Avenue d’Iéna, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris on Friday (13 December).
• The fire started around 1000 hours (local time) on Friday (13 December) in a room on the upper floors of the building and has since spread, causing significant damage and producing a visible plume of black smoke.
• Approximately 40 firefighters and 15 fire trucks were deployed to manage the situation, which remains challenging due to the fire’s spread to higher levels of the building. Local authorities reported no casualties as of now. The area surrounding Avenue d’Iéna was cordoned off to facilitate emergency response efforts, and traffic is being redirected.
• Preliminary investigations suggest the fire may have been triggered by an electrical incident, but the exact cause has not yet been confirmed.
