As per reports, on Friday (01 November) DC Fire and EMS responded to an apartment fire on the first floor of a three-story building on the 1700 block of Benning Rd in Northeast Washington, D.C.

• One individual sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital for evaluation. The fire was contained in the first-floor apartment and is now under control. Fire investigators are currently on the scene.
• The overall damage assessment pending. Crews are assessing potential resident displacements. The investigation is ongoing and fire investigators are present at the scene.
