As per reports, a fire broke out at approximately 1600 hours (local time) on Friday (06 March) at a paint thinner manufacturing factory located in Thep Rat subdistrict, Ban Pho district, Chachoengsao province, Thailand.
Initial reports indicate that the facility produces paint thinner and related chemicals, with thick smoke observed rising from the site and visible from surrounding areas.
• Authorities indicated that the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) deployed multiple firefighting units and water trucks to control the blaze.
• Firefighters reportedly carried out operations to spray water on chemical tanks and surrounding structures to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby buildings.
• During the response operation, continuous explosions were reportedly heard inside the facility, prompting authorities to issue advisories for the public to avoid routes near the affected area.
