As per reports, a large fire broke out in Ahmedabad’s Mirzapur scrap market at around 0130 hours on Friday (01 November), resulting in around 30 shops catching fire. Over 20 firefighting vehicles and 80 firefighters were involved in the dousing operations that continued until 0500 hours. Tires and motor oil containers burst through the operation, causing delays in the dousing.
The incident is said to have occurred due to the falling of firecrackers.
