As per reports, on Wednesday (10 December), a fire broke out in Raj Textile Market, located in the Parvat Patiya area of Surat city, Gujarat. The fire affected the third, fifth, and ninth floors of the market. The exact cause is believed to be a wiring problem, though full details will be confirmed after complete control of the fire. No casualties have been reported.
Over 22 fire engines and multiple firefighting personnel reached the spot and worked for several hours to control the fire. Firefighting efforts have brought the blaze under control, and the cooling process has started. Police are monitoring the operation, managing traffic, and ensuring safety in the vicinity.
