As per reports, a fire broke out in the store room of the blood bank of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya District Hospital on Friday (07 June) afternoon. No casualties have been reported yet.
• Relevant authorities including the police and the fire engine is on spot and the fire has been contained.
• Hospital patients from the affected wings have been shifted to other wards. The fire has reportedly damaged important medical documents as well as the plastic bags used for storing platelets.
• The officials are yet to disclose the details of the incident including cause of fire and extent of damage.
