As per reports, factory workers’ protests reportedly blocked the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Gazipur, from around 0800 hours (local time) on Thursday (20 March). The protest is to demand an extension of the Eid holiday, during this, traffic was reportedly stopped for an hour and a half around the Hotapara area until the police arrived to remove the workers off the road.

Additionally, traffic movement was reported to resume from 1000 hours (local time).
