As per reports from the China Meteorological Administration, the risk of rainstorm disasters will continue in Fujian, Guangdong, Hainan, and Sichuan on Tuesday (24 September), and they will continue to receive heavy rainfall. The Central Meteorological Observatory has issued a blue alert for heavy rain for Fujian and Guangdong for Tuesday (24 September) around 0600 hours (local time). Following are the latest updates:

• In Guangdong as of Tuesday (24 September), heavy rainfall occurred in Jiangnan and parts of southeastern Zhejiang, the eastern coastal areas of Fujian, southeastern Guangdong, and Leizhou Peninsula, Hainan Island are at continued risk of flooding and rainfall-related disasters. The cities of Haikou, Wenchang, and Chengmai in Hainan are experiencing the most rainfall.
• In Fujian, heavy rains have resulted in flooding in cities like Pingtan, Zhangzhou, Fuqing, Xiamen, Quanzhou, and Putian, and locally heavy rain in parts of the Longyan area. As of Tuesday (24 September), there is still heavy rainfall in the coastal areas of Fujian, and some areas in Zhangzhou, Xiamen, and other places may experience heavy rainstorms.
• From 0800 hours (local time) on Tuesday (24 September) to 0800 hours (local time) on Wednesday (25 September), heavy rain or rainstorms are likely to occur in parts of southeastern Zhejiang, eastern Fujian, central and northern Heilongjiang, southern Sichuan, southeastern Fujian, eastern and southern coastal areas of Guangdong, and western Hainan Island. Local heavy rainstorms (100-214 mm) are likely to occur in Zhangzhou in Fujian, Jieyang, and Shanwei in Guangdong, Sanya, and Ledong in Hainan.
• Moreover until 0800 hours (local time) on Friday (27 September), heavy rains are forecasted to continue in southern Sichuan, Guangdong, Fujian, and Northeast China due to the influence of tropical depression 19.
• CMA additionally forecasted that from 0800 hours (local time) on Wednesday (25 September) until Friday (27 September), moderate to heavy rain will occur in parts of the Tianshan area and Ili River Valley in Xinjiang, southeastern Tibet, southern Sichuan, western Yunnan, southern Jiangxi, most of Fujian, and northeastern Guangdong. Among them, heavy rain (50-70 mm) will occur in parts of the eastern coastal areas of Fujian and northeastern Yunnan.
