As per reports, an explosion took place at the Miguel Hidalgo refinery in Tula, Hidalgo around 1800 hours (local time) on Monday (12 February), that resulted in injuries to eight workers.
• The incident occurred at the Residual Hydrosulfurization Plant (HDR) of the refinery in unit 400, sector six, when a steam boiler at the plant exploded.
• Two workers had serious injuries, while at least six suffered minor injuries. All the victims were transferred to the Pemex General Hospital for treatment.
• The fire caused by the explosion had been controlled, while authorities have launched investigations to determine the cause of the incident.
