As per reports, an encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir during the morning hours on Monday (08 September). The gunfight reportedly erupted after security forces had launched a cordon and search operation in the Gudar forest area after receiving information about the presence of terrorists.

One terrorist is reported to have been killed during the ongoing encounter, and the identity of the terrorist is yet to be ascertained. The operation is currently underway and further details are awaited.
