As per reports, five Naxalites were killed and two security personnel injured during the encounter in Bastar on Saturday (16 November) after a joint team of security personnel engaged in a gunfight during an anti-Naxalite operation.

The clashes occurred between Naxalites and the Border Security Force (BSF), District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Special Task Force (STF) in north Abujhmad along the border of Narayanpur and Kanker districts.
