As per reports, the Election Commission of India announced that Rajya Sabha elections will be held on 27 February.

• The states where the elections for the Rajya Sabha are scheduled to occur include Uttar Pradesh (10), Maharashtra (6), Bihar (6), West Bengal (5), Madhya Pradesh (5), Gujarat (4), Karnataka (4), Andhra Pradesh (3), Telangana (3), Rajasthan (3), Odisha (3), Uttarakhand (1), Chhattisgarh (1), Haryana (1), and Himachal Pradesh (1).
• The notification will be issued on 08 February, last date for making nominations is 15 February, scrutiny of nominations will be held on 16 February and last date for withdrawal of candidatures is 20 February.
• The hours of election are 0900-1600 hours, the counting of votes will be held on the same day at 1700 hours and the date before which elections shall be completed by 29 February.
