As per reports, the Cabinet on Thursday (22 February) approved of suspending the load-shedding program in Egypt through the month of Ramadan from 11 March 2024 to 09 April 2024.

The decision comes as the Cabinet has been implementing systematic power cuts in the different governorates since July 2023 due to the severe heatwave and significant increase in electricity consumption in Egypt.
