As per reports, the Efood Employees Union of Attica announced a work stoppage during the World Cup final on 19 July, demanding higher wages and improved working conditions for the company’s employees.
• Reports indicate the work stoppage is scheduled from 1900 hours local time (1600 hours UTC) to 0000 hours local time (2100 hours UTC), coinciding with a protest gathering at the intersection of Kifissias and Alexandras avenues in Athens.
• Reports indicate the union is seeking a collective labour agreement that includes pay increases for all employees, including delivery riders, office staff, warehouse workers, and employees at Efood markets.
• The protest gathering is planned at the intersection of Kifissias and Alexandras avenues in the Ampelokipoi area of Athens, near the KFC Ampelokipoi.
