As per reports, the employees of Punjab Education Department will take a mass leave on Tuesday (17 February), to protest the proposed reduction of their salaries from INR 50,000 to INR 19,000 despite completing 20 years of service.

• They are expected to protest outside Education Bhawan and Department of Public Instruction (DPI) office in Mohali.
• If their demands are not addressed, they may take out a protest march towards the Chief Minister’s residence in Chandigarh on a later date.
