The United States Geological Survey (USGS) has reported an earthquake of magnitude 5.5 with a 10 kilometres (km) depth, 43 km East Southeast (ESE) of Khandūd, Afghanistan, at 1215 UTC on Friday (17 October).
• There are no immediate reports of any property damage, injuries or casualties, as of yet.
• However, tremors were felt in several parts of Afghanistan-Tajikistan border, as well as in Jammu and Kashmir in India.
