According to the Central Weather Administration (CWA), an earthquake of magnitude 5.4 struck off the coast of southeast Taiwan at 1921 hours on Saturday (27 July).
The earthquake’s epicenter was 104.3 kilometers south of Taitung County Hall, with a focal depth of 51.1 kilometers. Its biggest intensity level reached level three in Taitung County and Pingtung County, including the areas of Manzhou, Nanwan, and the popular tourist resort of Kenting.
