According to reports, Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has stated that an earthquake of magnitude 5.3 impacted the Waingapu area, East Sumba Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) on Monday (24 February) at 0221 WIB.
The earthquake’s epicenter was 36 kilometers northeast of Waingapu with a depth of 10 kilometers. BMKG confirmed that this earthquake does not have the potential to cause a tsunami.
