As per the Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG), a 5.7 magnitude earthquake was reported at 8.87 South Latitude – 106.41 East Longitude, 209 kilometres southwest of Sukabumi Regency on Sunday (11 October) at around 1030 hours (local time).
The recorded depth of the earthquake was 10 kilometres. Based on the estimated shaking level map ( shakemap ), mild vibrations were felt in Surade, Cibitung, and Tegalbuleud in Sukabumi. the earthquake did not have the potential to cause a Tsunami.
