As per reports, the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) is scheduled to stage a public rally in Kolkata on Sunday (07 January) at the Brigade Parade Ground. Representatives further announced that two large processions would be held from Howrah and Sealdah to the venue, and five small processions would be held from Hazra Mor, Khidipur Shrine, Subodh Mallick Square, Central Metro Station and Park Circus to the venue.

This has been prompted as the culmination of their 50-day long rally for justice which began in Cooch Behar on 03 November and ended on 22 December.
