As per reports, a dust storm reportedly developed around 1600 hours (local time) near Interstate 10 in Casa Grande and Eloy and advanced northward into the Valley on Monday (25 August).

• The National Weather Service (NWS) in Phoenix issued a dust storm warning just before 1700 hours (local time) affecting major corridors including Interstate 10 near Avondale and Goodyear, Interstate 17, and U.S. Route 60 near Phoenix and Mesa.
• Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport implemented a ground stop, halting flights due to reduced visibility.
• Simultaneously, the NWS issued a severe thunderstorm warning for communities such as Queen Creek, Chandler, Gilbert, Higley, Guadalupe, Gila Crossing, and Laveen.
