As per reports, dust storms swept across Dubai and Abu Dhabi from Monday (05 May), significantly reducing visibility and prompting weather warnings.

• The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported fresh northwesterly winds stirring dust, with visibility dropping below 3,000 metres in internal and coastal areas.
• A severe dust storm was recorded in Dubai Investment Park around 1230 hours (local time) on Monday (05 May), impacting traffic movement.
