As per reports, a drone struck a US-owned floating gas storage tanker at Damietta Port on Egypt’s Mediterranean coast on Wednesday (29 July).

• According to maritime security sources, the drone struck the floating storage tanker Energos Winter, resulting in a fire that spread to the gas tanker GasLog Salem.
• The incident occurred at Damietta Port, a key liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on Egypt’s Mediterranean coast.
• The crews of both vessels were safely evacuated, and authorities reported that the fire was brought under control.
• No injuries or casualties have been reported as of the latest update.
• No group has claimed responsibility for the reported drone strike. Authorities are investigating the incident.
