As per reports, Brussels Airport will experience a complete operational shutdown of passenger flights on Tuesday (01 October) due to a large-scale strike organized by various labor unions, including European trade union federations UNI Europa and Effat.

This action is part of a broader protest against escalating work pressures and deteriorating working conditions under the banner ‘Race to the Bottom.’

• Brussels Airport stated that while arriving flights may still operate, no passenger flights would depart due to the walk-out.
• Approximately 50,000 passengers are expected to be affected by this disruption.
• A demonstration has been scheduled at 1000 hours (local time) at the airport entrance on Tuesday (01 October).
