As per reports, civic, social, and union organizations have announced a new public demonstration in Valencia on 28 April, in protest against the regional government’s management of the October 2023 floods.

• The demonstration coincides with a local public holiday in Valencia and is strategically timed one day prior to the European People’s Party (EPP) congress scheduled for 29-30 April in the city. President Mazón is expected to attend the congress, alongside the President of the People’s Party (PP), Alberto Núñez Feijóo, as confirmed by Susana Camarero, Vice President of the Valencian Government.
• According to organizers, the march will begin at 1800 hours (local time) on 28 April from Plaza del Ayuntamiento and end at Plaza de la Virgen.
• The protest will involve personnel from emergency services, nursing, firefighting units, social service departments, and relatives of the flood victims. Organizers have not disclosed the identity of the leading participants in this protest.
