As per reports, Delhi Police intensified security arrangements and conducted flag marches across sensitive areas of the national capital as of Wednesday (27 May) as part of precautionary measures ahead of Bakrid (Eid al-Adha) celebrations that are set for Thursday (28 May).

• Senior police officials reviewed preparedness, and additional forces were deployed in vulnerable locations to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incidents during the festive period.
• The Delhi government is also monitoring the transportation of animals with authorities coordinating with enforcement agencies to ensure compliance with existing regulations and guidelines related to public order, animal welfare, and municipal norms.
