As per reports, a number of companies in Malaga has reported delays of up to 24 hours in the movement of cargo since 26 January due to protests and blockades by French farmers.
• Several companies, particularly those in the agri-food sector that regularly export to Europe, have been affected due to the protests in France.
• According to reports, Málaga truck drivers have been using alternative routes to avoid the pickets and blockades by the French farmers occurring at the accesses to the main cities and distribution centers.
• Companies from Malaga such as the meat company Faccsa-Prolongo, Trops or Frutas Montosa, and horticultural companies, such as Bioalgarrobo, in Algarrobo, among others have been registering significant delays for their merchandise destined either for France or that have to cross it to reach other destinations.
