As per reports, the death toll resulting from the rainfall and flooding reported in Rio Grande do Sul reached 173 as of Sunday (09 June) afternoon.

• 38 people are still missing in the state due to the floods.
• The level of the region’s main rivers and lakes has been gradually falling since the beginning of June and has remained below the flood level. Water has receded in most of Porto Alegre as well.
• More than 460 municipalities were affected by the floods in Rio Grande do Sul.
