The Central Weather Administration (CWA) has issued a yellow strong wind advisory for multiple counties and cities across Taiwan, valid until Tuesday (17 February).

The following are the additional details:

• Yellow strong wind conditions are expected across New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu City, Hsinchu County, Miaoli County, Taichung City, Changhua County, Yunlin County, Chiayi County, Tainan City, Pingtung County, Taitung County, Penghu County, Lienchiang County where daily strong winds may reach level 06, with gusts reaching level 08.
• The advisory indicates that strong or gale-force winds are observed or expected, corresponding to ten-minute average wind speeds exceeding 10.8 meters per second, or gusts exceeding 17.2 meters per second. These winds may produce flying debris from trees, affect unstable structures or fixtures, and pose risks to outdoor workers.
