The Central Weather Administration (CWA) has issued a yellow strong wind advisory in effect from late Tuesday morning (16 September) through Wednesday night (17 September) for New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, and Pingtung County.
• Strong winds are expected to reach level 6 on the Beaufort scale, with gusts reaching level 8 in exposed coastal and elevated areas.
• Authorities have cautioned that strong or gale winds may dislodge debris, affect outdoor activities, and pose risks to unstable structures.
• Residents are advised to secure loose outdoor items and take extra precautions when travelling.
