As per the Central Weather Administration (CWA) advisory issued on Thursday (26 March), a heavy rainfall advisory has been issued across Hualien County.

• The advisory remains in effect for Hualien City, Fenglin Township, Yuli Township, Xincheng Township, Ji’an Township, Shoufeng Township, Guangfu Township, Fengbin Township, Ruisui Township, Fuli Township, Xiulin Township, Wanrong Township and Zhuoxi Township.
• Heavy rainfall conditions are defined as 24-hour accumulated rainfall exceeding 80 millimeters or hourly rainfall exceeding 40 millimeters.
• Periods of intense showers are likely to be accompanied by localized water accumulation and reduced visibility in affected areas.
