As per reports, competing political demonstrations are scheduled across São Paulo, Brazil, on Monday (07 September) during Independence Day.
• A right wing demonstration is scheduled on Avenida Paulista from 1500 hours local time (1800 hours UTC), with Flávio Bolsonaro, São Paulo Governor Tarcísio de Freitas, São Paulo Mayor Ricardo Nunes and other political figures expected to participate.
• The demonstration is focused on opposition to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Supreme Federal Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes.
• Large attendance is anticipated, and São Paulo Transport has confirmed bus diversions in the Avenida Paulista area on Monday (07 September).
• Separately, the 32nd Cry of the Excluded is scheduled in Praça da Sé, central São Paulo, beginning with activities at 0700 hours local time (1000 hours UTC).
• The political and cultural gathering is scheduled from 0900 hours local time (1200 hours UTC), followed by a march through central São Paulo from 1000 hours local time (1300 hours UTC).
• Independence Day activities are also scheduled around the Anhembi Sambadrome in northern São Paulo.
• The Traffic Engineering Company is scheduled to manage traffic from 0500 hours to 1400 hours local time (0800 hours to 1700 hours UTC), with closures affecting Avenida Olavo Fontoura, the local carriageway of Marginal Tietê and several surrounding streets.
