As per reports, a winter weather advisory has been issued for the entire Saint Louis region until Friday (10 January), with a winter storm warning in effect for areas south of the metro.
The Saint Louis metropolitan area and locations northward can expect one inch to two inches of snowfall. Areas south of the metro, including Festus and Potosi, are forecast to receive two inches to four inches of snowfall. Southern counties, such as Reynolds, Dent, and Madison, could experience four inches to six inches of snow accumulation.
• Snowfall can be expected in western counties, including areas from Rolla to Bowling Green in Missouri until 0000 hours local time on Friday (10 January).
• Snowfall is expected to reach the Saint Louis metro area and will continue spreading eastward into Illinois post 0000 hours local time on Friday (10 January).
• From 0400 hours local time to 0800 hours local time on Friday (10 January), steady snowfall can be expected across most of the region.
• Snowfall is expected to taper off from west to east from 1000 hours local time to 1400 hours local time on Friday (10 January).
