The China Meteorological Administration (CMA) has issued a blue sandstorm warning for parts of China on Friday (20 February).

• According to the advisory, blowing sand or dust is expected in parts of eastern Xinjiang and the southern Xinjiang Basin, western Inner Mongolia, western Gansu, and northern Ningxia.
• Sandstorms are anticipated in some areas of western Inner Mongolia and western Gansu, with localized areas expected to experience strong sandstorms.
