According to the China Meteorological Administration (CMA), a blue heavy rainfall warning was issued at 1800 hours (local time) on Thursday (04 June) and remains in effect from 2000 hours (local time) on Thursday (04 June) until 2000 hours (local time) on Friday (05 June).
• Heavy to torrential rainfall is expected across parts of eastern Heilongjiang, northeastern Jilin, southern Yunnan, southern Hunan, northeastern and southwestern Guangxi, northwestern Guangdong, northern and eastern Fujian, southern Zhejiang, and central and southern Taiwan.
• Localised torrential rainfall of 100-200 millimetres is expected in northeastern Jilin, northeastern Guangxi, southeastern Fujian, and southern Taiwan.
• Short-duration intense rainfall with maximum hourly precipitation of 20-50 millimetres, locally exceeding 60 millimetres, is also expected. Localised thunderstorms and strong convective weather may occur in some affected areas.
